The Better Life Lab's report, Paid Family Leave: How Much Time Is Enough?, was cited in a Forbes piece advocating for increases to company paid family leave policies:
As companies wreck the status quo and develop progressive policies that reflect the lives of modern American families, it's imperative that they first establish adequate leave time for all. New America's Better Life Lab recommends 52 weeks of paid leave for infant and child health and wellbeing, six months per parent. Studies confirm that extended leave times are associated with reduced infant mortality (the U.S. ranks the highest of any industrialized country), improved health for both mother and child, and higher labor force participation for women, which ultimately benefits the growth of our economy.
