Top Findings:
- Fifty-two percent of students said they learned less this year than they did prior to Covid. Twenty-seven percent said they learned about the same amount as they did pre-Covid.
- Forty-six percent of students said it took them longer to complete coursework than it did pre-Covid. Twenty-six percent said it took them the same amount of time as pre-Covid.
- Fifty-nine percent of students said their professors were flexible and accommodating when students needed more time to complete an assignment. Seventeen percent said their professors were inflexible when students needed more time.
- Of students who started college this year after Covid shut down schools last spring, 23 percent said they were very unprepared, 35 percent said they were somewhat unprepared, and 25 percent said they were somewhat prepared.
- Thirty-nine percent of students said it was extremely difficult to concentrate during remote lectures, and 42 percent said it was somewhat difficult.
- Twenty-seven percent of students said their time spent in employment increased compared to last year, while 20 percent said it decreased compared to last year.
- Fifty-six percent of students said that Covid has not changed their graduation plans.
- Twenty-eight percent of students said the value of their education over the past year was good, 28 percent said fair, and 19 percent said it was poor value.
