FLH policy analyst Tim Robustelli was quoted in a Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung article on climate adaptation in Miami, Florida.

Tim Robustelli of the New America think tank predicts that Miami could transform into a new Amsterdam or Venice. Despite the pitfalls of its porous limestone soil, [Miami might consider] Dutch techniques like canals, huge storm surge barriers like the Maeslantkering, and complex pump networks. On a scientific level, there is also a lively exchange with the Dutch, says Jayantha Obeysekera. He expects in the long term, above all, "vertical retreat." In other words: Miami will be elevated and made safer.
