Election misinformation: How to find truth in the noise

Event

Fake videos. Images of things that never happened. Bots.

Political misinformation, accelerated by artificial intelligence, is redefining elections around the world, with grave consequences. At the same time, digital platforms play an increasingly important role in politics, carrying the ability to inform and empower—or to polarize and divide.

Join Future Tense, Arizona State University’s Convergence Lab, and Pinche Gringo BBQ in Mexico City to discuss the digital weapons being used to divide us, and the tools we need to take them on.

This event will be held in-person in Mexico City. It will be presented in Spanish, with live interpretation into English.
