[ONLINE] - How to Protect Yourself from Online Abuse and Surveillance
Event
In the midst of a pandemic and nationwide protests, being able to safely organize and communicate online is more important than ever. Organizers, activists, and journalists are especially vulnerable to surveillance and harassment. In this workshop, we’ll give you tools and strategies to protect yourself when speaking out online and in person, from shielding yourself from surveillance at protests to strengthening digital safety and privacy.
Join Future Tense, PEN America, and the Freedom of the Press Foundation on Thursday, June 18 at 4:00 pm EDT for a cyber self-defense workshop.
Follow the conversation online using #SocialDistancingSocials and following @FutureTenseNow.
