Alexei Alexandrov

Alexei Alexandrov works on research and policy with nonprofits and government, including working on housing and mortgage regulation at the Urban Institute and advising on homelessness and mental health care research and interventions in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Prior to that, Alexei served as the chief economist of the U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency, led economics and machine learning research at Amazon and at Wayfair, and served as a senior economist and AI fellow at the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Alexei received his PhD from Northwestern University, taught at the University of Rochester, and published academic articles on topics including antitrust and consumer finance.
