April Ege is a former intern for the Education Policy program at New America with the Dual Language Learner National Work Group. She previously taught preschool and fourth grade at a partial immersion school in Virginia. She holds an M.A. in Education from George Mason University, a B.A. in Government from the University of Virginia, and is a doctoral student in Education Policy at George Mason University. Her research interests include bilingual education and expanding access to high-quality preschool, particularly for dual language learners.
