Aryn Baker is an award-winning American journalist who has spent 24 years as a foreign correspondent in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. In more than two decades at Time Magazine, she served as bureau chief in Kabul, Islamabad, Beirut, and Cape Town, then as the magazine’s international climate correspondent. Now based in Rome, Italy, she covers climate, migration, science, technology and geopolitics for multiple outlets, including the New York Times, Time Magazine and Noema Magazine. She is currently a visiting fellow at New America, where she works on issues around climate change, the green energy transition, and labor rights in a warming world.
