Braden Goetz

Senior Policy Advisor, Center on Education and Labor

Braden Goetz is a senior policy advisor in the Center on Education and Labor at New America, where he focuses on apprenticeship, career and technical education, and workforce development programs.

Prior to joining New America, Goetz worked for more than 20 years at the U.S. Department of Education in different roles, most recently as director of the policy and research team in the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education. He also managed high school grant programs in the Department’s Office of Elementary and Secondary Education. Earlier in his career, Goetz advocated for the American Counseling Association and worked as the legislative director for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Rochester.
