Bruce Schneier was a fellow in New America’s Open Technology Institute and is an internationally renowned security technologist and author. Described by The Economist as a “security guru,” he is a cybersecurity and digital technology critic and commentator, as well as a lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School. He has testified on security before the U.S. Congress on several occasions and has written articles and op-eds for many major publications, including the New York Times, The Guardian, Forbes, Wired, Nature, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, the Sydney Morning Herald, the Boston Globe, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the Washington Post. He is the author of over a dozen books, most recently A Hacker’s Mind: How the Rich and Powerful Bend Society’s Rules, and How to Bend them Back.
