Carissa Taliaferro was a part-time research assistant at New America Chicago who worked remotely with the exception of special events. Taliaferro is a lifelong Chicagoan who is passionate about access to education and has worked for many years with K-12 youth in educational settings. She holds her Masters Degree in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Political Science from Loyola University Chicago. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, playing with her two Yorkshire Terriers, reading, and writing.
