Carolina Rossini was the project director for the Latin America Resource Center at the Internet Governance and Human Rights program at the New America Foundation's Open Technology Institute. She has more than 12 years of experience on internet policy, law and transactions, including advocacy, research and teaching activities. Ms. Rossini was formerly director for international intellectual property at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, coordinator for the Catalyst Project at the Wikimedia Foundation, a 2-year fellow at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard, an associate scholar at GPOPAI-University of Sao Paulo, clinical program director and CTS-project coordinator at FGV Law School - Rio de Janeiro, and in-house counsel Terra Networks Brazil, the ISP of Telefonica telco group. She contributes to SPARC/ARL strategies on open access and open science in Latin America, is a board member for Open Knowledge Foundation - Brazil and for the REA-Br project – which she founded in 2008 –, and an advisor to the IDRC R4OER. She provides pro-bono assistance to organizations in Latin America on knowledge governance strategies for content and data sharing. She has an LLM in Intellectual Property from Boston University (USA), an MBA from Instituto de Empresas (Spain) awarded by Telefonica, a master's degree in international economic negotiations from UNESCP-UNICAMP (Brazil) and a bachelor's degree in law (J.D.) from University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
