Chris Sadler was the Education Data and Privacy Fellow at New America’s Open Technology Institute, where he focuses on higher education privacy and security issues, emerging privacy technologies, government data sharing, and broadband affordability.
Prior to OTI, he was a senior analyst at Federal Student Aid, where he worked on risk management, cybersecurity, and fraud issues.
Sadler holds an M.A. in government from Johns Hopkins (writing a Harold Seidman Award winning thesis on the financial crisis) and a B.S. in environmental science from Virginia Tech.
