Colleen Wong was a program associate with the Blockchain Trust Accelerator, a New America initiative to bring together governments, technologists, civil society organizations, and philanthropists to tackle global challenges with distributed ledger technology. She is also the national director of StartupBus, a hackathon-on-wheels that bridges emerging entrepreneurs across socioeconomic, gender, and racial divides in North America.
Prior to joining New America, Wong wore multiple hats with startups, social enterprises, and corporate social responsibility programs in NYC and Myanmar. Her projects includes research, communications, business development, and strategy for IBM Blockchain, ConsenSys, SAP Next-Gen, Mercy Corps, Amnesty International, Techstars, Ascena Retail Group, Johnson & Johnson, and ViiV Healthcare. She actively mentors founders across the global startup ecosystem and hopes to raise capital for an early-stage fund and venture studio in Southeast Asia.
She holds a B.A. in neuroscience, religion and society from Boston University and an advanced diploma in monitoring and evaluation: project management for the UN, government, and NGOs from New York University.
