Comfort Sampong is a Google Public Policy Fellow for New America's Open Technology Institute. She is also a master's student in Social Policy and Data Analytics at the University of Pennsylvania. There she studies how Afro-diasporic Latin American communities navigate algorithmic decision-making, discrimination, and surveillance. Prior to joining OTI, she worked at a youth and online safety lab, a guaranteed income research center, and a Honduran anti-corruption NGO.
