Dana Beth Weinberg, Director of the New War Research Consortium, is Professor of Sociology and Data Science at Queens College and The Graduate Center-City University of New York. Dr. Weinberg holds a PhD from Harvard University. At Queens College, she has served as Acting Dean of Social Sciences, Chair of Sociology, and Director of the MA Program in Data Analytics and Applied Social Research. She is the author of Code Green: Money-Driven Hospitals and the Dismantling of Nursing. Her current work focuses on foreign and domestic influence operations on social media, narrative weaponization and hate speech, and the social factors that enable radicalization. She has co-developed the WARP framework for understanding weaponization of and radicalization through social narratives. Her research has been covered by a variety of news outlets, including NPR, Bloomberg, CBS MoneyWatch, The Guardian, and Fast Company.
