Hana Hancock is a communications intern for the Education Policy program. Originally from New Jersey, she now attends George Washington University where she is pursuing a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications with a minor in History.
Prior to her role at New America, Hana was the Social Media Editor at the History News Network. Hana also interned previously for a public relations firm in Washington, D.C. that specialized in communications for advocacy groups and grassroot campaigns.
With experience as an assistant teacher in classrooms ranging from pre-k to fifth grade, Hana is excited to blend her interest in communications and outreach with education at New America. In her spare time, she enjoys doing community service around the metro D.C. area and writing for her university newspaper.
