Jason Greenberg Motamedi, Ph.D., is a researcher and mixed methods practice expert at Education Northwest. His research supports educators and policymakers through researcher-practitioner partnerships to use data to understand outcomes and improve access to advanced level courses among diverse students, and improve data quality. Greenberg Motamedi is currently collaborating with the Washington Professional Educators Standards Board and New America to identify and support evidence-based practices to increase teacher diversity, such as grow-your-own teacher programs. Greenberg Motamedi leads the evaluation of Oregon MESA, which includes ongoing formative evaluation, and two studies looking at MESA’s impact on improved grades and graduation rates. He also leads the evaluation of three Office of English Language Acquisition National Professional Development grants in Idaho, Oregon and Washington, which support teachers as they earn teaching credentials for teaching language learner students and in dual language classrooms.
