Jennifer Dickey is preparing to join Mullen Coughlin as an attorney, bringing with her a specialized focus in privacy law from her recent completion of a juris doctor degree and a certificate in privacy law from the Chicago-Kent College of Law. Her academic accomplishments, highlighted by the CALI Excellence for the Future Award, are testament to her dedication and skill in the field. Equipped with privacy professional certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, and CIPM, Dickey has built a strong foundation in privacy and data protection regulations.
Dickey’s professional journey is characterized by her significant contributions to the field of privacy law, particularly as a Google Policy Fellow and during her tenure at the Future of Privacy Forum. As a Google Fellow, she authored policy briefs on neurotechnology regulation and was actively engaged in discussions on emerging technology policies, significantly shaping her research interests. At the Future of Privacy Forum, Dickey’s work centered on the privacy implications of emerging technologies, including biometrics, AI, and immersive technologies. This role not only honed her expertise in legal policy analysis but also deepened her understanding of the complexities surrounding user privacy in the digital era.
Dickey’s #ShareTheMicInCyber fellowship project is focused on addressing the cybersecurity vulnerabilities of brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). Leveraging her background in cybersecurity and privacy law, the project aims to investigate and devise strategies for protecting user privacy and ensuring data integrity in the realm of BCIs.
