Jenny Seelig, PhD is a senior research scientist with Education and Child Development at NORC where she studies how geography affects educational opportunity, with a primary focus on teacher labor and workforce development. Seelig studies educator pathways and teacher working conditions to help districts and university partners cultivate sustainable opportunities for their current and future workforce. She has recently led or currently leads several mixed methods projects on educator pathways, including for the National Science Foundation, the Tommy G. Thompson Center on Public Leadership (Wisconsin), and a school district in the Chicagoland region. Seelig currently leads a five-year formative evaluation for the ECMC Foundation on a $25 million initiative to strengthen opportunities for rural college students. She holds a doctorate in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a former high school Spanish teacher.
