Jeremy Bauer-Wolf is the investigations manager on the higher education program at New America.
He was an award-winning political and education journalist for more than a decade, starting as a statehouse reporter in Maryland before turning to national higher education. Bauer-Wolf’s reporting has spanned most areas of postsecondary education, from federal policy to student affairs and intercollegiate athletics rules. He has worked at Inside Higher Ed, as well as Higher Ed Dive, where he was senior reporter writing about college consolidation, policy, admissions and leadership matters.
Bauer-Wolf is often called on as an industry expert and has been featured in events by the National Association for College Admission Counseling, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, and Education Reform Now. He regularly appeared on radio interviews and podcasts, including at NPR affiliates and Slate. His work has also appeared in The Baltimore Sun, The Washington Post, and Times Higher Education.
He has a dual bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from Towson University.
