JoeBill Muñoz, National Fellow, is an independent Mexican-American filmmaker, currently directing and producing a feature documentary about solitary confinement in California prisons. His work has been supported by the Sundance Documentary Fund, Firelight Media, ITVS, and others. As a producer, he most recently worked on The Circus (Showtime), The New York Times Presents (Hulu), and The Grab (TIFF 2022), a feature documentary directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite in collaboration with Reveal at the Center for Investigative Reporting and Impact Partners.
