Jordan Usdan is Senior Director of Strategy and Innovation in the Office of the CTO at Microsoft. Jordan helps organizations across sectors navigate the impact of technology on business and society. He spent the past 10 years at Microsoft, where he co-founded an Innovation Studio and helps Microsoft solve critical problems at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and society.
Jordan’s work has included artificial intelligence and autonomous systems, cloud infrastructure and applications, robotics, digital public goods, Web3, and other areas. Previously, Jordan was Senior Director for Corporate Strategy at Microsoft, where he partnered closely with the CEO, CFO, and other senior executives to identify transformational growth opportunities for the company.
Jordan previously served in government, most recently as Director of Public-Private Initiatives at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Counsel to the Chairman, where he worked across Cabinet departments, the White House, and the private sector to boost broadband adoption and Wi-Fi in K–12 classrooms. Jordan worked on policy issues including the National Broadband Plan, spectrum allocation, net neutrality, and Children’s Educational TV. As an extension of Jordan’s work at the FCC, he co-founded EveryoneOn, a national nonprofit partnership to eliminate the digital divide by making Internet service and digital literacy training accessible to all Americans, where he is Chair of the Corporate Advisor Board.
Prior to the FCC, Jordan served on the 2008 Obama Presidential Campaign as a voter protection state lead counsel in Western swing states and staffed the Obama/Biden Transition Team on Technology, Innovation, and Government Reform. Prior to that, Jordan practiced antitrust law at Howrey, LLP.
Jordan received his BA, summa cum laude, from The George Washington University, with a major in Political Communication and a minor in International Affairs. Jordan has a law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.
