Judith Danovitch, PhD, is an associate professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Louisville. She earned her doctorate in Psychology from Yale University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center. Dr. Danovitch’s research interests lie at the intersection of children’s conceptual knowledge and social cognition, with a focus on how these competencies develop and interact during early and middle childhood. Her research focuses on how children seek out information and what motivates them to do so. She is particularly interested in how children evaluate and learn from non-human information sources, including the internet. Dr. Danovitch’s recent research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the John Templeton Foundation.
