Kamila Camilo is a brazilian black LGBTIQ+ activist and social entrepreneur building bridges between big players (such as Google, Alpargatas and Votorantim Group) and grassroots initiatives to develop open innovation, social responsibility, ESG strategies and climate action projects. After 5 years engaged with the Amazon Rainforest communities as a volunteer in social projects, Camilo recently launched the “Creators Academy Initiative '', a grassroots digital influencers experience aimed at creating innovative and strategic ways to communicate messages about climate action and democracy. She is a data driven person, currently leading Brazilian Social Impact Map (MAIS) project, which gathers information about over 800k NGOs to support social impact investors and decision makers in their impact strategies based on data. As a survivor of child sexual abuse herself, it was at the age of 13 she started to use her voice to stand up and fight against social violence and inequalities, and at 30 she persist as a frontline advocate for the millions of poor black children across the Americas. Member of the Global Shapers Community since 2019, Camilo has delivered a tremendous impact leading the Davos Lab Initiative in Brazil. This landmark movement was initiated by the World Economic Forum and led by a core group of 25 young people across the globe engaging over 2 million young people to build a radical youth recovery plan built around social, political and environmental justice. Camilo mobilized a movement that engaged more than 30,000 Brazilians to this initiative, from ex-presidents to local Amazonian peoples who actively participated in this collective design.
