Karen Renaud is a professor of cyber security in the Division of Cyber Security at the University of Abertay in Dundee, Scotland. She is particularly interested in deploying behavioral science techniques to improve security behaviors, and in encouraging end-user privacy-preserving behaviors. She holds a first class masters degree in computer science from the University of South Africa, and a Ph.D. from the University of Glasgow. In 2016, she received a U.K. Cyber Security Fulbright Award.
