Katherine Shek was the deputy director of communications for New America’s Public Interest Technology program. She led communications and outreach designed to share insights and success stories from the program and expand the field of PIT practitioners. Prior to joining New America, Shek was the campaign communications director for the Center for Science in the Public Interest where she advocated for public health policy through traditional and digital media.
Previously, Shek managed communications and digital engagement for the Committee for Economic Development of The Conference Board, the American Constitution Society and the National School Boards Association. She is a former journalist and has a B.A. in communications and journalism from George Mason University.
