Katie Lund is an intern with the Future of Land and Housing Program.
Prior to New America, Lund worked as a Community Resilience Specialist with the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, where she supported rural Alaska Native communities to plan and implement community-led adaptation strategies to climate impacts to homes and infrastructure.
Lund is currently pursuing a Master of Environmental Management from Yale School of the Environment specializing in climate change, urban sustainability, and environmental justice. While there, she works as a Research Assistant with the Hixon Center for Urban Ecology to support efforts to identify environmental justice communities in Connecticut that are highly vulnerable to the impacts of urban heat island.
She holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies and German Studies from Macalester College.
