Ken Sauer is senior associate commissioner and chief academic officer for the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, executive director of the Indiana Commission for Proprietary Education, and vice chair of the Midwestern Higher Education Compact. He is a founder of the 13-state Multi-State Collaborative on Military Credit (MCMC) and a member of the Governor’s Health Workforce Council, and presently leads Indiana’s effort to populate the Credential Engine Registry with information on Indiana health care programs and equivalent credit for military training. Previously, he worked for the Illinois Board of Higher Education and the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems. He holds a Ph.D. in government/international relations from the Claremont Graduate School.
