Kirthana Sudhakar

Research Associate, Future of Institutions

Kirthana Sudhakar is an urbanist, architect, and historic preservationist, whose areas of interest include writing about cities; map-making & visualizations; campus & residential design; mosaic art; and designing natural dye based garments. She is a graduate of Columbia University’s dual program in Urban Planning & Historic Preservation and the Bachelor’s program in Architecture, at Rashtreeya Vidyalaya. She uses an interdisciplinary approach to all her work, allowing sensitivities and knowledge from diverse fields of expertise to inform her work. Her work experience has been largely focused on the cities of Bengaluru and New York. Extracurricularly, she instructs ashtanga yoga, works as a sex educator and runs mosaic and natural dye workshops. She is mom to a puppy named Yogi.
