Leila Pedersen was the Associate Director for New America California, where she ran a fellowship for social entrepreneurs using storytelling and communication as tools to humanize technology and modernize government.
Prior to joining New America, Leila established and led statewide programs at California Common Cause to support government transparency and accountability measures at the state and local level. In 2012, Leila ran voter education programs at EMILY’s List, helping to elect the greatest number of women ever to serve in the United States Congress.
Leila holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley where she studied psychology and public policy. She is currently earning her Master's at the London School of Economics.
