Louisa Woodhouse is a Higher Education Intern with the Education Policy Program at New America. She supports the team through research and data analysis, primarily focused on public opinion and the accessibility and affordability of higher education. Prior to joining New America, Louisa was a college advisor in Boston, Massachusetts, and worked for multiple non-profit organizations in the fields of adult education, English language education and economic mobility.
In addition to her role at New America, Louisa is a Research Assistant for the Education Policy Initiative (EPI) at the University of Michigan, and for the Poverty and Inequality Research Lab (PIRL) at Johns Hopkins University. She graduated from Bates College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy at the University of Michigan Ford School of Public Policy.
