Lupita Romo-González is an intern on the Higher Education team. She recently graduated from UC Berkeley where she majored in sociology and minored in public policy and Chicanx/Latinx studies. While at UC Berkeley, she formed part of various research projects where she analyzed how education opportunities can improve for first-generation, low-income and students of color. Her combined research interests and personal experiences in the public education system challenged her to advocate for education equity at an institutional and federal level through her involvement with the PUENTE Program and LEDA Policy Corps.
