Morgan Polk is a senior policy analyst in the Center on Education & Labor.
Prior to joining New America, Polk worked at the National Urban League, where she led federal policy work in education, health, and labor. Of particular focus for Polk in this role were: school climate, student loans, social safety net, and apprenticeship. Polk began her career teaching middle school in Memphis, Tennessee. She taught intervention classes for reading and math grades 6-8 and 7th grade English language learners.
Polk holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. She holds a BA in political science and psychology with a minor in English from Texas A&M University.
