Porsche Boddicker-Young, PhD, is a research scientist and racial equity manager in the early childhood research area at Child Trends. Her research interests include culturally responsive teaching and pedagogy from preschool through college, the relationships between racial identity and academic and opportunity gaps, and the experiences of students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Porsche’s current work includes the intersection of early childhood and health equity and studying the ways school enrollment policies promote or limit access to pre-K.
