Raza Panjwani is a Senior Policy Counsel at New America’s Open Technology Institute, where he focuses on broadband access and adoption, net neutrality, and competition and consumer protection issues related to internet access.
Panjwani brings over a decade of experience addressing a broad range of consumer and technology policy issues at start-ups, publicly traded companies, and public interest advocacy organizations. He has led policy strategy and advocacy across topics including autonomous vehicles, open source medical technology, online free expression and copyright law, semiconductor supply chains, and right-to-repair.
Panjwani previously served as Policy Counsel at Public Knowledge, and most recently led public policy for the hardware design, development, and manufacturing divisions at Meta’s Reality Labs.
A native of New York, Panjwani earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Columbia University in New York City, where he practiced law before entering the policy field.
