Rebekah Haigh is the Princeton GradFUTURES Fellow with the Center on Education and Labor at New America. She is a PhD student in the Department of Religion with a focus on Mediterranean Antiquity. She has her MTS and ThM from Emory University and her BS from Rochester College. While at Emory, her research focused on Second Temple texts and contexts, particularly liturgy from the Dead Sea Scrolls. In 2017-18, she was a Fulbright Fellow at Hebrew University, where she explored orality in the Qumran Rule Texts. She remains interested in ancient scribal culture and the role of orality in the composition, transmission, and reception of the Scrolls
