Robin V. Harris, Ph.D., Education Policy Fellow and National Fellow, spent her fellowship writing a book about the “godmother of school choice,” Annette “Polly” Williams, the Wisconsin state legislator who ignited a national movement by writing and sponsoring Milwaukee’s landmark school voucher program. Currently, Harris is the managing editor at The Education Trust, a national education advocacy and policy organization. Previously, she served as editorial director at Education Sector and associate editor of Diverse Issues in Higher Education, where she focused on issues facing students of color in K-12 and Higher Education. She is a graduate of Howard University and earned a master’s and doctorate in English literature from the University of Maryland, College Park.
