Rocio Montoya Pereyra is a communications intern for the Education Policy Program at New America.
This fall, she began her senior year as a public relations student at Blas Pascal University, where she is the recipient of a scholarship for academic excellence. She came to the US in August 2021, as an exchange student at Muskingum University, where she also worked as a Spanish teaching assistant.
After two semesters at Muskingum University, Rocio completed a summer internship as a marketing intern at TE Connectivity.
She also recently volunteered with Catie's Cause, an NGO that advocates for medication safety awareness.
Rocio is originally from Cordoba, Argentina, but currently lives in Jacksonville, Florida, where she enjoys trying new recipes from around the world, or getting creative with watercolors.
