Rowan Humphries is an intern with the Digital Impact and Governance Initiative and a Masters student at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies concentrating on national security and emerging tech. Her research focuses on the relationship between government and industry actors, and how policymakers can work with the tech industry to ensure the ethical development and deployment of digital technologies. Prior to SAIS, she worked for a nonprofit advocacy organization working on nuclear and defense issues.
