Shannon Lynch serves as New America's Studio Manager and Podcast Production Lead. She produces podcasts, manages video projects, and directs AV for in-person and live-streamed events.
She produced and hosted a podcast called The Alley: DC's 8th and H Case, which has garnered significant attention from media outlets such as The Washingtonian, WTOP, DCW50, and Fox 5 DC. The podcast also inspired the creation of a documentary film. Furthermore, The Alley was selected as a finalist at the Publisher Podcast Awards and the International Women's Podcast Awards.
Prior to her role at New America, Shannon honed her skills as a producer on nonpartisan political news shows at SiriusXM, where she covered a wide range of federal-level politics.
Lynch holds a master's degree in Audio Technology from American University and a bachelor's degree in Government from Georgetown University. She enjoys spending time with her dachshund named Lincoln Douglass.
