Summer Boucher-Robinson was a Program Associate with the Digital Impact and Governance Initiative at New America. Her professional experience in the tech world comes from past internships at Friends of Sustainable Grids in Brussels and the European Union Delegation in Washington where she analyzed policy issues related to data privacy, 5G, and the relationship between governments and Big Tech.
Most recently, Boucher-Robinson covered issues related to internet freedom, cybersecurity, and human centered design on the Democracy and Technology team at the National Democratic Institute. Outside of tech, she has election and campaign experience, with several campaign cycles worth of political organizing experience under her belt.
Originally from the Bay Area, Boucher-Robinson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with focuses on domestic and European politics from American University in Washington, DC.
