Taufiq Rahim is a senior fellow in the Future Security program at New America. Rahim is a strategist, investor and writer focused on the intersection of global geopolitics and transformative technology.
Over the last two decades, Rahim has driven investment, convened conversations and brought together public and private partnerships to tackle the most pertinent global issues across four continents, from disruptive technology and economic development to geopolitics and global health. In addition to his geopolitical advisory work, he is building 2040 Ventures, a global platform with a strong belief in the transformative power of the technology of decentralization.
He has previously worked with McKinsey & Company, the Aga Khan Foundation, and the United Nations, and was the founder of Globesight, a global development firm that has been instrumental in catalyzing philanthropic capital across the Global East and West.
Rahim received a master’s in public policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and his A.B. from Princeton University. He is regularly cited by leading publications, including the Financial Times, CNN, Bloomberg, Washington Post, New York Times, CNBC, among others.
