Victoria Rideout is president of VJR Consulting, where she conducts research on children and media for academic and nonprofit organizations. Recent work includes studies about teens’ use of the internet for health information, digital media use among infants and toddlers, and media use among eight- to 18-year-olds. From 1997 to 2010 she directed the Kaiser Family Foundation’s Program for the Study of Media and Health, and prior to that she directed the Children & Media program at the children’s advocacy group Children Now. She is a member of the editorial board at the Journal of Children and Media. Rideout received her master’s from the Maxwell School of Public Affairs at Syracuse University and graduated with honors from Harvard University.
