Adam Lubinsky

Adam Lubinsky is an associate professor of professional practice at Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and the interim director of the MS in Real Estate Development program. He is also a principal and partner at WXY, a New York-based architecture and planning studio globally recognized for its innovative approach to city-making.

Lubinsky focuses on processes of urban change that involve master plans, predevelopment for real estate projects, and feasibility studies for institutional and public agency-led projects. Over the course of his two-decade career across the United States and United Kingdom, he has utilized community engagement, data analysis, and design to reconceive how neighborhoods and cities change. He has helped to facilitate several NYC policy and planning frameworks, from neighborhood rezonings and industrial development plans to current efforts to create NYC’s new ADU program.

Lubinsky's work has received numerous awards and been published widely. Fast Company named him one of the Most Creative People in Business in 2017 and WXY one of the Most Innovative Companies in Urban Development and Real Estate in 2023.
