Dan Xin Huang is an independent writer and journalist. His work has appeared in Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, Guernica, The New Republic, New York magazine, Pacific Standard, and The Village Voice, among others. He previously worked as a financial reporter at The Wall Street Journal. He is currently working on a book about the entwined braids of education and class in America, told through the story of one Appalachian school district.
