Elizabeth Lee is New America’s Deputy Director of People and Culture. With 13 years of progressive experience, Lee brings a wealth of expertise in strategic HR management, employee development, and organizational enhancement.

With a demonstrated track record of driving HR initiatives, Lee excels in optimizing talent acquisition, performance management, and workforce planning. She has a proven ability to align HR strategies with overarching business objectives, resulting in enhanced employee satisfaction and company growth.

Prior to New America, Lee held pivotal roles at The Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), and Booz Allen Hamilton where she honed her leadership skills by spearheading HR transformations, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and implementing innovative solutions to complex HR challenges. Lee holds a B.S. in Law & American Civilization and a B.A. in Communication Studies from Towson University. As an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and an HR Career Mentor at the SHRM Foundation, Lee has continuously stayed ahead of industry trends and best practices. She is dedicated to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace that nurtures professional development and fosters a sense of belonging among team members.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Lee enjoys running, biking and traveling, and currently resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and two children.
