Hila Levy

Dr. Hila Levy was a Digital Impact and Governance Initiative fellow at New America.

Prior to joining New America, Levy worked in national security, intelligence, science, international relations, and the environment on every continent. Levy has served as a U.S. Air Force intelligence and foreign affairs officer, building allied and inter-agency partnerships to confront shared security challenges. She brings experience as a translator and interpreter for six languages, and is a published researcher, educator, and advocate in polar affairs, climate change, infectious disease, and STEM education.

Levy is a top graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and received an M.S. from Johns Hopkins University. She also holds an MSt., MSc. with Distinction, and D.Phil. from the University of Oxford, where she was the first Rhodes Scholar from Puerto Rico.
