Jonathan Dolan was a fellow in New America's Cybersecurity Initiative. Dolan is an independent consultant specializing in digital inclusion, data governance, and the trusted internet. Dolan co-founded the Center for Digital Development at the U.S. Agency for International Development and led the Center's Digital Inclusion Practice from 2014-2018. In this capacity, he served as USAID's representative to the White House Internet Policy Board, a member of the Alliance for Affordable Internet's Advisory Council, and a member of the Steering Committee for the World Economic Forum's Internet for All project. Prior to USAID, Dolan worked at the International Finance Corporation, where he analyzed inclusive business trends within IFC's investment portfolio and wrote extensively on emerging models for digital financial services, mobile-enabled agricultural information platforms, and internet access. Dolan holds a MS from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and a BA from Bowdoin College.
