Randa Grob-Zakhary, MD, is the global head of education at Porticus, an international philanthropic organization, and a board member of the Global Partnership for Education at the World Bank. She is the former CEO of the LEGO Foundation and brings with her two decades of experience in neuroscience, children’s development and education. She has served as a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution on matters of global education, and as a program advisor to the Clinton Global Initiative. Prior to that, she worked with the global management consultancy McKinsey & Company, spanning the profit and nonprofit sectors, before founding an institute for early learning and development. She is an established speaker and author, having earned her doctoral degree in neuroscience and medical degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in New York. She resides in Switzerland.
